Masterclassses for Leaders
We've recently pulled together six influential and inspiring speakers to deliver five masterclasses which will focus on creating brilliant public sector leaders. Funded by the NWIEP, these sessions are aimed at public sector chief executives, lead elected members, non-executive board members and other senior public sector leaders.
Lord Michael Bichard, former executive director of the Institute of Government, will deliver the first masterclass on 6 February in Manchester.
He'll be focusing on the role of leaders in transforming local public services, including leading under pressure and developing effective partnerships.
The second of the masterclasses will take place on 6 March in Lancaster. Tony Travers, director of the London School of Economics will be looking at working collaboratively with budgets and considering what this means in practical terms for public sector leaders.

Senior Leadership Development Programme
We're also delighted to announce details of our senior leadership development programme!
This 9-month programme aims to provide a solid basis to develop leaders to meet the current challenges around the rapidly changing public sector landscape. It utilises a blend of workshops, action learning sets, coaching, and a collaborative improvement project to ensure participants maximise learning opportunities.
The programme is centred around a number of leadership workshops, each of which will encompass a full day session. Keynote speakers and top-level practitioners will share their experience and knowledge, encouraging participants to reflect on, consider and address their own learning and development priorities in this context.
