Event details: Over the last 50 years tens of thousands of people have seen the tools of Transactional Analysis transform their lives and the lives of those around them. Focusing on how we communicate, Transactional Analysis (TA) gives us a model of how we have developed, how we think of ourselves and others, and how we relate and communicate - offering practical techniques to address problem areas and allow us to change and grow. The ‘Introduction to TA' gives you a working knowledge of all the main concepts of TA, in just three days! It also provides you with an internationally recognized certificate (the TA101). Our courses are designed to give you both the theoretical concepts and hands-on experience to ensure the foundations are well laid and that you leave the workshop confident that you can continue to apply at least some of the concepts in your life and relationships. You will leave this course with a really practical set of tools to address issues and enhance relationships at home and at work. You will also receive an internationally recognised certificate useful if you want to continue your learning in the future. What is Transactional Analysis? Transactional Analysis is a field of psychology developed by Dr. Eric Berne in the 1950's. Originally trained in psychoanalysis, Berne wanted a theory which could be understood and available to everyone. The theory outlines how we have developed, how we treat ourselves, how we relate and communicate with others, and offers suggestions and interventions which will enable us to change and grow. TA is underpinned by the philosophy that: people can change we all have a right to be in the world and be accepted A range individuals and organisations in the public and private sectors, have benefited from such programmes including RAF, MOD, steel stockholding and distribution groups at national and international levels as well as those in local authority and government positions.
Further details: Improving Relationships We tend to take our communication for granted, and yet it underlies almost everything we do. As you'll know, good communication can make a dramatic impact on getting the right things done well, while you've probably experienced the damage to morale, effectiveness and delivery that poor communication, miscommunication, or even no communication can have. TA helps us to understand how to say what we want to say and how to respond to others. The Benefits Whether your are coming as an individual or on behalf of your organisation, the course will benefit you by showing you how to:
