Presentation skills workshop

Effective presentations are particularly important in the current climate when managers and other officers may be delivering difficult messages to a variety of audiences.

The number of participants is restricted to eight to provide a high level of participation.

Impact/outcomes

  • This workshop is designed to develop existing skills and increase confidence.
  • All participants are asked to deliver a 10 minute presentation to the rest of the group in the afternoon session.
  • Participants chose their own topic but often take the opportunity to revise an existing presentation or test out a new one.
  • One to One feedback is provided by the workshop tutor.

If participants wish the presentations can be filmed for participants to view after the workshop.

The one day workshop is only suitable for experienced presenters. A two day programme is recommended for participants needing to acquire presentation skills and build confidence.

Who should attend: Managers and other staff who are required to make presentations as a key element of their role.
