Climate change is constantly in the news but what does it mean for people living in the North West? How can councils reduce emissions and prevent damaging impacts of climate change? The aim of this course is to highlight and address climate change issues.
The course will provide a good understanding of what authorities are doing now to address climate change and you will acquire knowledge and key facts of how your own experts can help your area of interest in the authority. You will look at the risks climate change pose and consider the benefits and opportunities that action on climate change can bring to your authority and its community and businesses.
There will be the opportunity to discuss key issues facing your authority and plan what further practical measures you can take and look at your own best practice and that of other authorities.
