There is an ever increasing imperative for councils to engage with all stakeholders and communities. This course will help participants to identify and use a variety of effective strategies to identify, engage with and consult their communities and other stakeholders.
The course will look at why consultation with community and other stakeholders is important and will show you how to carry out a stakeholder analysis to identify all key stakeholders on any issue. You will identify appropriate levels and methods of engagement to cross the consultation divide and use the 5Ps planning method to effectively plan and design an engagement strategy in relation to any issue requiring consultation.
