Community Leadership - Demystified!

As a councillor do you experience tensions and challenges when leading for your community or leading in your community? If so this course will consider practical responses to some of the underlying issues in the relationship between local authority, councillors and local residents.
Councillors are asked to come prepared with their experience, problems and opinions. You will be presented with some of the current thinking, key ideas and questions to be answered. Please be interested and willing to match your circumstances with other councillors to find practical solutions you can apply locally.
This event will be facilitated an expert practitioner who has worked in and for a wide range of communities and statutory agencies. Their experience includes working for local urban and rural authorities at neighbourhood and authority levels, as a community activist and is a tutor on the Community Leadership module of the Leadership Academy.
