Do you sometimes find people and situations challenging and difficult to manage?  If so this course can help you.

Difficult situations can be challenging to manage and take up a great deal of time. This course for female councillors explores causes, behaviours and consequences. Participants will be given strategies and techniques for handling difficult situations effectively.

The course provides an opportunity for female councillors to review and develop their skills in dealing with difficult people and situations.

Impact/outcomes

By the end of the event participants will have:

  • Identified the primary causes and behaviours that create difficult situations for councillors
  • An understanding of how their own behaviour can impact in difficult situations.
  • Been given assertive and other techniques to calm and take control of difficult situations
  • Completed a personal action plan.

This course explores causes, behaviours and consequences. Female councillors who attend will be given strategies and techniques for handling difficult situations effectively by understanding how behaviour leads to aggression.  You will also learn how to apply calming and assertiveness techniques to challenging situations.
