We are delighted to announce the formal introduction of the new Local Economy Network - a network for Council Leaders and Portfolio Holders in the North West interested in promoting and developing the local economy.
As well as launching the new Network the focus of this initial free event for councillors will be to look at what support can be given to community groups who would like to make the transition to becoming social enterprises which creates sustainable businesses, capable of bidding to run local services and creating employment.
There will be contributions from specialists in developing, running and financing social enterprise and an opportunity to contribute your experience and ask questions in an informal meeting environment.
Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.
