Financial Awareness for Councillors

Finance can be a minefield and by attending this course councillors will become familiar with financial processes within their organisation and the part they play in the process.
This course will provide an understanding to the role of accounting in the organisation and how council budgets are calculated. It will look at who is responsible for monitoring and controlling the budget and how the monioring is performed.
The course takes the form of a participative workshop with the use of practical exercises and materials to reinforce the learning.
