Event details: It can sometimes be difficult to see the wood for the trees with overview and scrutiny. This course maps out the essential aspects of overview and scrutiny good practice for councillors to consider in relation to developing their own approach.
Further details: By the end of the course you will have considered what overview and scrutiny is and isn't and explored the structures and processes that have developed around the practice. You will discuss the approaches for planning and managing overview and scrutiny and consider the approaches that can lead to better results.
