This course is for Councillors (Cabinet members and Overview and Scrutiny) who wish to ensure that Partnerships are working effectively.

Objectives of the session:

  • To gain an understanding of the importance of partnership working, the LSP and LAAs
  • To gain an understanding of the role of scrutiny councillors in ensuring the effectiveness of partnership working to improve delivery of services

  • Develop some ideas about what useful scrutiny questions a councillor may ask

  • The scrutiny task and role
  • How do we get our heads around this?
  • Getting ready for a scrutiny review of partnerships
