Event details: This half day workshop is designed for HR/OD or other staff including policy performance officers, those driving business planning and improvement policies and processes. We aim to assist them to develop an overall understanding of the process and to enable them to support managers who will be developing the plans. This workshop will include more discussion on the issues likely to be raised by service managers and how to best assist them to resolve these issues. Outline programme -Workforce planning:
- What is it? Why do it?
- How to support managers through the process
- What issues does it raise? - points to consider
- Which areas of the process may present difficulties for managers and how to assist in resolving these
- Where to access further information and support
- What do I need to do now?
Further details: At the end of the workshop participants will have:
- Explored and built an understanding of the workforce planning process
- Identified and discussed issues and questions in relation to workforce planning and how to assist managers to resolve these issues
- Clarified roles and responsibilities within the process
- Considered strategies to support colleagues
- Shared good ideas/ good practice
- Been made aware of sources of additional information and support
- Produced actions plans for taking the learning forward.
Who should attend: Any HR, OD, IT, Business Planning, Continuous Improvement staff or other staff who will be required to support managers who will be writing workforce plans.
