When at work we deal with people everyday. How these interactions go depends upon what we believe about ourselves, others and life. Some of us may find it difficult to say "No" to someone, even if we are snowed under with work, or we may feel bad if we need to pass on bad news to people. We may even lose sleep if we are anxious about how to deal with certain situations. How we handle a situation will affect the practical output as well as emotional outcome.

In summary this workshop aims to develop an understanding of the ways in which we may stop ourselves being assertive as well as some concepts and ideas for how to change so that should conflict arise we know how to deal with it. Using TA concepts to provide a foundation of understanding we will commence the workshop with looking at individual responses before moving on to team and organisational conflict. We will celebrate difference, develop strategies which avoid win-lose confrontations and encourage beneficial win-win outcomes through the development of understanding and assertiveness skills.
