Information Overload

  • Category: Management/Leadership Development
  • Date: No current presentations
  • Times: 9.30 - 4.30

Event details: This is a very flexible programme from which you can pick and mix - even add - topics for your specific needs. Delegates can choose to learn any, or all of these. How to: analyse their workload situations to establish key issues and prioritise these; apply word mapping techniques (mind maps) to aid their note making and memory; apply the principles of mnemonics to remember a range of material; apply principles of email and document file management; apply principles of diary management using Outlook; apply simple Internet research techniques using Google. Although much of the course is non-technical, some ideas will be demonstrated using Microsoft Outlook and Google. Users of other systems will gain a valuable understanding of what needs to be done, though not the detailed ‘how to' for their own programmes.

Who should attend: This course is intended for those who have a large volume of information, whatever its source or type, to deal with. This includes: councillors, senior management, committee secretaries - in fact anyone who would like to manage their information more effectively.
