Managing Change

  • Category: Management/Leadership Development
  • Date: No current presentations
  • Times: 9.30 - 4.30

The public sector has been going through a period in which the rate of change has increased significantly. Budget cuts and reducing staff numbers mean that the pace and impact on individuals and teams will be even more significant.

Managers need to develop their existing knowledge and skills in order to implement the changes whilst maintaining continuity of service, and enabling and empowering individuals within their team/service.

Impact/outcomes

By the end of the programme delegates will be able to:

  • Identify the need for change
  • Analyse the impact of potential changes
  • Create a vision and support for it
  • Create an environment in which staff will be responsive to  change.
  • Help staff to manage the effects of change
  • Achieve results and maintain the morale of stakeholders whilst preserving their own wellbeing.

Managing change can be delivered as a workshop for groups of managers wanting to focus upon a specific change or issues arising from a recently introduced change.

Who should attend: managers responsible for introducing and managing change who are also responsible for supporting staff throughout the process.
