Event details: Personal Construct Psychology is a comprehensive theory of personality and change which sees people as self-inventing explorers, continually seeking to make sense of our world and anticipate our future. The underpinning philosophy of PCP is optimistic and forward-looking, promoting creativity and innovation, viewing experience as an ongoing series of learning experiments.
The course offers an introduction to PCP and course material will be applicable to the groups we work with, the teams we work in, and to our own roles as trainers. The course assumes experience in training or facilitation, and will focus on presenting and exploring psychological theory to underpin the trainer's interventions.
Further details: In addition to PCP, we will revisit the rather more well-known theory of Transactional Analysis (TA), elaborating our understanding of its core concepts, and considering its ongoing usefulness as a tool for training and group work. We will also work with consulting models developed by Petruska Clarkson, which can provide helpful structure and clarity for facilitators of organisational change.
Who should attend: Trainers, internal consultants and facilitators who would like to deepen their understanding of communication and interaction.
