Event details: Leading and supporting staff in the current climate of fast-paced change can be challenging and an appreciation of psychology aims to increase our effectiveness and confidence in working with individuals and groups in transition, helping us develop interpersonal skills to an advanced level.
Further details: The course will draw on two theories:
Personal Construct Psychology offers a model of human beings as self-inventing explorers continually seeking to make sense of their world and anticipate their future. It is an optimistic and forward-looking approach, and its view of experience as an ongoing series of learning experiments can assist the process of becoming a ‘learning organisation'.
Transactional Analysis is a theory of relationships and interaction which can help us get the best from staff, working with their strengths and our own, developing a flexible and confident approach to interpersonal relationships at work.
The course will focus on both theory and practice, applying learning to the current work interests and challenges of participants.
Who should attend: Managers and trainers who are interested in exploring the underlying psychology of change.
