Liz McQue - Chief Executive

The Human Resource Committee is responsible for the organisation's strategic direction in terms of employment and workforce issues.
The committee is the employers’ side of the Joint Regional Council which meets with the regional trade unions' side. It is responsible for responding to key workforce and employment issues and the provision of the regional disputes machinery. It will, until the existing backlog of appeals is exhausted, oversee operation of the grading appeals mechanism.
The impact of funding cutbacks on the public sector means the committee's work will be extended to focus on supporting authorities as they reshape their workforce.
The committee at its first meeting will receive a report and agree the focus of the employers’ organisation's activities and the joint work with the regional trade unions.
Membership of the Human Resource Committee comprises of twelve elected councillors, Chair and Deputy Chair, as follows:
Constitution: Chair and Deputy Chair
Sub-regions
3 - Greater Manchester
3 - Lancashire
2 - Cheshire
2 - Cumbria
2 - Merseyside
