Portfolio Holders

The power of networking to share experience and practice cannot be overestimated. Children's and Young People's Services and Adult Social Care both face significant challenges as services become increasingly scrutinised and resources under pressure.

There are 23 local authorities providing these services in the NW and using funding from the NWIEP and support from Local Government Improvement and Development (LGID) we have established two key networks:

• Network for Lead Members for Children's and Young People's Services
• Network for Lead Members for Adult Social Care. 

The support and information Lead Members receive and the support they get from each other through the networks has been extremely beneficial.
