- Health Champions Programme - We are working with The Royal Society for Public Health, Central Lancashire Primary Care Trust and South West Councils to develop programme to support councillors strengthen their knowledge and skills in relation to health and wellbeing. The first programme will be running in September
- Health and Wellbeing Knowledge and Skills Framework - Building on the excellent work that has already been undertaken in Lancashire, we are developing an online tool for councillors to assess and develop their understanding of health and wellbeing and look at ways in which they can develop their skills. The Health Champions programme outlined above is also linked to this tool
- A Quick Guide to Understanding Health and Health Terminology - This simple, easy to use guide will help to demystify some of the terminology and language used in health and will signpost to further resources. The guide is being developed to encourage councillors to think about what health really means as well as the way in which health is structured
