Since the Coalition government took office in 2010, the agenda has been moving from intense inspection and audit regimes to allowing local government to take more control over how it monitors performance. There are many opportunities for scrutiny in this new landscape to ensure that services are still monitored in a meaningful and challenging way. This half day session will help to explore the role of scrutiny in a post regulation world.
