What new models of planning and delivering services are out there?
We will take a look at the range of new approaches such as community budgets, commissioning, shared services, social enterprise etc.

What do these new approaches mean for the financial management of my council?

We will look how the range of new finance models and initiatives need a strengthened and sometimes different approach to financial management.
We will explore the essential elements of financial management and how these relate to the new approaches to planning and delivering services.

What is my role as a member in leading these new approaches?

We will look at what is meant by financial leadership, why you don't necessarily need financial qualifications to be a good financial leader and why in times of change, strong financial leadership is vital.
