Councillors often find themselves in situations where both an awareness and an active knowledge of negotiation skills are of prime importance and give councillors the confidence to participate effectively in negotiation processes in their neighbourhoods and beyond.
Negotiation plays an ever-increasing part in our daily lives, in the workplace, at home or in the communities in which we live and this course will increase the range of skills necessary for councillors to be able to negotiate in a range of scenarios and offer practical exercises.
The half day session will outline the essential tips, techniques and principles to be able to enter into negotiation with improved knowledge and understanding, as well as combining strategies for negotiation with relevant practice.
