Action Learning Facilitator Training

Whilst there is significant content which has been included within the outline programme below there will be opportunity for participants to focus on specific areas of interest and learning within the practice sessions using action learning methodology. This is to ensure there is "learning by doing" and "doing by learning". Participants will be encouraged to set up, organise and begin facilitating an action learning set during the programme in order to ensure effective transference of learning.
Participants will be encouraged to develop a learning diary to record and consider their practice and reflections over the course of the programme.
Objectives
By the end of the 4 day programme participants will:
- Understand the history, scope, rationale and application of action learning as an element of organisational development
- Explored the principles, practice and roles involved in effective action learning
- Reviewed their own skills in relation to action learning particularly in relation to styles of facilitation
- Considered the appropriate use of action learning and explored other problem solving approaches
- Participated in and facilitated an action learning set
- Reviewed and shared their experience of engaging learners in action learning
