The module aims to support local authorities in developing their capacity and capability to engage with employees to identify skills gaps in the workforce. Activities will explore different models of developing and sustaining learner champion roles, selecting and using appropriate assessment tools and effective referral processes.
Objectives
By the end of the session participants will have:
1. an understanding of existing assessment and screening tools and approaches
2. explored ways of identifying skills gaps within their authority
3. shared good practice in developing effective referral systems in public sector organisations
