The 11-day Postgraduate Certificate Conversion course has been designed for individuals e.g. coaches, and managers who have completed an accredited 5-day coaching course and who wish to take their understanding and application to the next level. It covers the traditional PB Coaching approach and focuses, in particular, on coaching within the organisational context. The programme is being delivered in partnership with the Merseyside Coaching Academy.
The programme builds on the theoretical input and practical experience gained previously to enable delegates to work at senior management and board level. Delegates will develop their potential to act as a business and executive coach in terms of process, style and interpersonal skills and specifically in relation to use of self, leadership, team coaching, establishing a coaching culture and working with the psychological and emotional dimensions of coaching issues.
The Certificate programme provides key psychological theory from a range of traditions and approaches. It also has a strong personal development aspect as participants explore the personal relevance of the concepts discussed. There is a constant focus on the practical application of the ideas to coaching, including regular coach practice sessions with feedback from highly experienced course tutors.
You will have picked up that the programme has a strong psychological flavour. This suits some people more than others but we stand by it because we fundamentally believe that significant life and work issues tend to have psychological and emotional dimensions to them.
