This new Working in Neighbourhoods Level 3 programme is aimed at learners who have completed the Level 2 and wish to progress further or people who work at a higher level and consider the level 3 more appropriate. The level 3 asks the learners to examine the skills and knowledge needed for effective neighbourhood working in more detail.
To do this effectively in a reasonable amount of time the course has a more flexible structure. The learners will complete a total of five units (3 mandatory and 1 optional community awareness unit and a further 1 optional community skills unit). The mandatory units are delivered in the classroom and assessed through the completion of a workbook. The optional units are chosen from two banks of community awareness and community skills units and are completed by the learners in their own time and assessed through one assignment and one fifteen minute presentation.
