About the Workshop:
North West Employers and the Equality and Human Right Commission are jointly hosting this workshop for North West elected members. The Equality Act and the Public Sector Equality Duty have big implications for decision makers. It is important as we make difficult budget decisions that we understand the value of what we do, and the impact any changes may have on our communities.
The workshop will be an opportunity for elected members to review and explore approaches to equality impact assessments, and putting a value on what we do.
Expected Outcomes:
· Provide an update from the Commission on the Act and Public Duty
· Help you to ensure that your authority is legally compliant
· Ensure that your authority is putting fairness at the heart of its budget decisions
