Employment Advice Service

The employment team provides employment related advice, support and guidance to promote good practice within local authorities and associated bodies.

The advice service is for enquiries about:

• employment law and employee relations (e.g. discipline, grievance, redundancy)
• conditions of service issues and
• schools employment advice (e.g. teachers, support staff)

Please access the service initially by sending us an email providing sufficient detail to enable us to research the issue appropriately. We will try and respond to you the next working day.

If your enquiry requires an urgent response and / or you wish to discuss it in some detail, a telephone advice line service is available between 9.15am and 1pm (school holidays) and 9.15am and 3.15pm (term-time) Monday to Friday.
