The National Employers' Organisation for School Teachers (NEOST) is the representative body for children's services authorities and local education authorities on matters related to school teachers' pay and conditions.

There are also negotiations determining national pay and conditions for the following groups of staff: youth and community workers; educational advisers/inspectors, educational psychologists and youth and community service officers (Soulbury officers); teachers in social services establishments and residential special schools; and staff and teachers in sixth form colleges.

Information on national conditions of service, updates and circulars are held together on the Local Government Employers (LGE) website and all local authorities can register for access to the information.
