Skills Net is the online tool to help authorities plan and deliver against the Skills Pledge, as well as the pathway to achieving the North West Local Government Skills Award.
There are four key functions of the tool:
a) Self Assessment - against the North West Local Government Skills Award Criteria, which incorporate the Skills Pledge commitments.
b) Action Planning - online planning and reporting function using a traffic light rating against all criteria, helps to focus on achievements and prioritise activity.
c) Peer Assessment - North West Employers will provide support, oversee progress and undertake Skills Award assessment, both face-to-face and also remotely via the Skills Net.
d) Help and Guidance - each criterion has a description of the type of evidence that highlights the level of achievement and there are many examples of good practice, resources and links to national/local websites.
