Local Government Strategy

The LGA Group published the Local Government Workforce Strategy 2010: Delivering through people in April.

The Strategy, first developed in 2003, has been updated to reflect the current context that local government is operating in and the expectations for public services over the next few years. The strategy:

• provides a framework for councils to review what actions they are taking locally to tackle their most important workforce challenges.
• sets out the priority actions and national initiatives that are being taken to tackle councils' critical shared workforce challenges.
