Behavioural Approaches to Change Management
Overview
This session will discuss the reasons why people are inclined to resist change along with how leaders and managers can approach change with a behavioural-based approach to improve the chance of success. The concepts of strategic and operational change and how they differ will also be discussed with a focus on how traditional change research is limited by it’s lack of behavioural-based appreciation.
Objectives
- Identifying the key thought and behavioural responses that occur during change.
- Helping line-managers to identify how they can support/minimise these behaviours within the workforce throughout the change process, along with identifying their responsibilities to disseminate accurate information relating to the change process.
- Discuss how managers can support themselves through the change process.
