To help prevent this within North West authorities, our AI apprenticeship offer delivered in partnership with Decoded, helps build practical and strategic AI and data capability across the workforce, empowering leaders and teams to innovate responsibly. This offer can also help support and develop AI and technological skills and succession, along with providing a developmental pathway and talent pipeline within this area.

Become a Data Analyst – Level 4 Apprenticeship
Data is everywhere—and knowing how to turn it into insight is a game-changer. Our Data Analyst Level 4 Apprenticeship, delivered in partnership with Decoded, is a 15-month programme designed to help data specialists unlock the full potential of data through advanced analysis, machine learning, and Python skills.
Who’s it for?
If you work with raw data every day and produce reports or analysis for others, this programme is for you. It’s ideal for anyone who wants to make data-driven decisions a core part of their role.
What you’ll master:
- Python and SQL for data analysis
- Data cleaning and formatting with pandas
- Advanced analytics including machine learning
- Data storytelling and visualisation
Key topics include:
- Data Ethics
- Statistics
- SQL
- Clustering, Regression, Classification
- Time Series Analysis
- Data Architecture
Tools you’ll use:
Python, SQL, Jupyter, Databricks
Learn how to:
- Use statistical modelling and machine learning to identify patterns in data
- Compile, combine, and clean datasets from multiple sources
- Automate reports and visualisations using code and notebooks
- Work with data ethically and responsibly
Programme details:
- Length: 15 months (+ End Point Assessment)
- Cost: £15,000 per learner (funded through the apprenticeship levy)
- Commitment: 20% weekly off-the-job training
